Beautiful hotel located close to extraordinarily quirky Glastonbury as well as the communal areas. Excellent variety at breakfast. Polite staff and perfectly clean rooms with a super clean bathroom and a lovely double shower and a four poster bed. Marvellous and unbeatable location just a short walk away from St Benedict's Church.

An Enchanting Stay Full of Charm
The historic atmosphere captivated us, and the staff's warm hospitality. We enjoyed browsing the excellent selection of mead at the bar. For a nice experience, book your meals in advance to avoid disappointment.

This place is a real gem! I loved chilling in the cozy bar and wandering through the enchanting garden area. The only hiccup was some noise from nearby rooms, but it didn't dampen my awesome experience! ✨

A very relaxed and interesting place to stay. Lots of local history related to the George and Pilgrim. The Breakfast was particularly good being cooked to order and very fresh.
The internet print out stated that beams would be a feature of our room but we did not have beams in our room. Their was also an extractor fan that seemed to be outside of our room that was a bit annoying occasionally.

The Landlord and Landlady Cath and Andy were wonderful - exceptionally warm-hearted, highly professional and totally welcoming people - rare, in fact! We stayed here prior to our very quiet wedding on the following day and they were so very kind to us - and helped with our nerves by being helpful, very attentive and genuinely professional and skilled in hotel management. The room was amazing, beautifully presented and spotless. It was also very quiet and we managed a good nights sleep. We went on to stay at a 5 star hotel in Chippenham and in all honesty - there was no difference in the way we were treated and the George & Pilgrim, and Cathy and Andy were to us - 5 star people, running a successful 5 star style hotel! Bless them both and very good luck to them - they are an amazing duo and our stay with them will be unforgettable.
